The robust XLC A-Head stem Freeride ST-F01 made of aluminum is ideal for more control while riding and weighs only 195 g. With a clamping width of 31.8 mm, the XLC stem fits many commercially available handlebars and holds them securely where they belong.
With A-Head set systems, the handlebar stem is clamped to the fork tube from the outside. A thread on the steerer tube is no longer required, which gives fork manufacturers the option of using thinner-walled steerer tubes or steerer tubes made of other materials such as carbon. The A-Head Set system therefore offers a weight advantage and easier installation.
